In terms of Cremlin (Horizon 2020) international project Russian Federation coordinates existing and future projects on international mega-class facilities.
A fundamental decision was taken to build a new unique research synchrotron facility on the territory of Russia in cooperation with international partners.
DESY Synchrotron center (Hamburg, Germany) became a place where working group рфв фтщерук discussion on the project. One of the reports was done by the head of Smart Materials International Research Centre Prof. Soldatov. SFedU staff will take part in training and retraining of specialists to work on that unique equipment and will develop theoretical approaches to process large data volumes applying supercomputers and artificial intelligence.
SFedU takes 1st place as the most active user of mega-class facilities to study photon science working with such European facilities as ESRF (European Synchrotron Radiation Facility) and XFEL (European x-ray free electron laser).
Another important contribution SFedU is going to make is the construction of the end station for Cremlin project basing on its experience in x-ray diagnostics of advanced materials.
